Learning an instrument, you will need consistency, patience and feedback.  Anyone can practice badly, not progress and get frustrated.  It's very important to get feedback in order to adjust your playing to get better and therefore everyone enjoys your playing more.  flute, clarinet or trumpet.  They read in treble clef just like the guitar.  Take private lessons on guitar while taking the band instrument and you will learn to play quickly.  Below are links to instrument information.
